Carrot Resistafly
Good resistance to carrot root fly. Broad stump end roots with smooth skins. Mid-season Nantes type. Carrot Resistafly was bred to show resistance to carrot fly but unfortunately is not immune to attack. Being such a dry year, carrot fly appear to be about sooner. If only carrot resistafly is grown and if there is carrot fly in the area they will still attack the variety. To overcome this another variety like Early Nantes should be grown alongside, this acts as a sacrificial crop and the Carrot fly will prefer to attack this variety and leave the row of Carrot Resistafly alone. Alternatively, carrots should be grown under enviromesh to stop them from getting to the crop.
