NOTE: DELIVERY FROM MID OCTOBER ONWARDS

A fleshy, juicy, sweet garlic flavour. It is increasingly popular with those who like to make a statement in their cooking or impress fellow growers. Ideal for baking and roasting. Each bulb is approximately 15cm (5-6 inches) across and can weigh over a kilo. Not a true member of the garlic family. Closely related to leek, to which it bears a close resemblance in flavour. Approximately 30-35 cloves per kg. Can be planted in autumn or early spring. For the largest bulbs, they must be planted in the autumn.
